1. General Questions

TransferHop provides booking services and booking management that helps you book any transfer from A to B point . Think of TransferHop as a bridge between travelers and drivers. We connect you with reliable drivers for your transportation needs, but we don't provide the rides ourselves. This means the contract for the ride is directly between you and the driver. You're both responsible for following the agreed-upon details of the trip.

Booking a ride with TransferHop is easy! Just head over to our website and follow the simple 3-step process. Keep in mind, TransferHop can be used by anyone who is at least 18 years old.

Transferhop currently operates in various locations in the Greek continent like Crete (Heraklion, Rethymno and Chania), Mykonos, Santorini, Paros and Athens. Our headquarters are located in Heraklion, Crete.

2. Booking and Reservations

You can book a transfer easily through our website (transferhop.com) in 3 simple steps or by contacting us per email at info@transferhop.com

To book a transfer, we'll need some basic info from you like your name, contact details (phone number and email) and anything else related to your reservation (arrival/departure airport, drop off/pick up location, date, time, number of passengers, etc.). For payment, you'll provide your credit or debit card details directly to the secure payment provider. Important note: TransferHop will never ask for your credit card information, this information is directly provided to the bank payment gateway.

Need to make changes to your booking? No problem! You can adjust your reservation for free up to 48 hours before your transfer. Simply send an email to our friendly customer service team at info@transferhop.com or visit the "My Booking" section on our website. Please make sure to include your booking reference number, the name of the lead passenger, and the details of the changes you'd like to make. Keep in mind, changes made within 48 hours of your transfer might incur additional fees. We will let you know about any fees before finalizing the changes.

Transferhop offers two payment options to complete your booking:
  • Partial Prepayment (deposit): Pay a portion of the total amount upfront to hold your reservation. The remaining balance will be due directly to the driver when you're picked up. You can pay the driver in cash or by credit card.
  • Full Payment: Pay the entire cost of your transfer upfront during booking. This option gives you peace of mind knowing everything is settled beforehand.
We recommend booking your transfer at least 48 hours in advance, especially during peak season. However, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings.

3. Transfers and Services

We offer a variety of vehicles to suit your needs, such as sedans, (mini)vans and minibuses.
  • Sedan Perfect for: Up to 3 passengers (or a small family with minimal luggage). Ideal for: Airport transfers, short city trips, point-to-point transfers. Features: Comfortable seating, air conditioning, ample legroom for relaxation.
  • Minivan Perfect for: Up to 5-7 passengers (or families with more luggage). Ideal for: Airport transfers, sightseeing tours, longer journeys with extra comfort. Features: Spacious interior, comfortable seating, ample luggage space, often with roof racks for additional storage.
  • Minibus Perfect for: Groups of 12-15 passengers (or larger families/friend groups). Ideal for: Group arrivals/departures, corporate events, day trips with multiple destinations. Features: Plenty of legroom and headroom, comfortable seating configurations, storage compartments for luggage.
The transfer price includes the drivers fee, any tolls, fuel surcharges, luggage allowance and any parking fees which are included in the price for the default free waiting time. Optional extras
  • Extra waiting time: If your flight or arrival is significantly delayed beyond a reasonable buffer, there may be an additional waiting time charge.
  • Extra stops: Deviations from the planned route to additional destinations may incur an extra fee.
  • Child seats: If you require child seats, please note at some destinations, they are available against an additional charge.
  • Gratuities: While not mandatory, gratuities for the driver are appreciated but not included in the base fare.

The transfer time will depend on the distance, traffic conditions etc. We will provide an estimated transfer time during the booking process.

We do monitor flight arrival times and will adjust your transfer accordingly within reasonable limits.
Yes, all our drivers do speak English.
Your driver will await you at the specific meeting point (exact location is mentioned in your confirmation voucher), holding a sign stating your name. Should you not be able to locate him/her, please take a moment to review the confirmation email we sent you and ensure that you are at the appropriate meeting point. If you're sure you're in the right place at the right time, try contacting your driver using the contact number provided in your voucher.
We do allow one medium sized suitcase plus 1 small piece of hand luggage (i.e. backpack) per passenger. If you have oversized luggage, please let us know before you book so we can recommend the right vehicle for you.
Yes, all our drivers are professional, experienced, and fully licensed and insured. They are also knowledgeable about the local area.
